Position:  Infrastructure Engineer

Suitable for:  IT Technician, Technical Support Engineer, 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer – with experience of networking, server configuration, Linux, VMWare and Proxmox

Location:  Douglas, Isle of Man

Salary:  to £45k

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to provide networking and 2nd/3rd line technical support to a financial services business. 

Key Skills

  • At least 4 years’ experience as a Technical Support Engineer, IT Technician, Infrastructure Engineer, 2nd Line or 3rd Line Support Engineer or similar
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Windows Server Configuration
  • VMWare and Proxmox virtualisation platforms
  • Exchange Server 2016 (2010)
  • Windows 10, Windows 11
  • Good working experience of Linux
  • Desktop support
  • Microsoft Teams, 365 and Office 2016 onwards
  • It would be advantageous if you had experience of working in an ISO9001 / ISO27001 environment or had certificates in (not essential)

The day to day responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer include:

  • Responding to helpdesk tickets
  • Setting up and deleting users
  • Supporting all hardware and software within the business
  • Monitoring and maintaining web access, email filtering and anti-virus updates
  • VPN, remote working
  • Server support and configuration
  • Disaster Recovery
  • VMWare, Proxmox, Know4Be training, BitDefender etcFull job description will be made available after an initial call.
