Profile

Product and Growth Consultant with a passion for early and growth stage companies.  Works closely with Founders and has driven double digit month on month growth for 4 consecutive years with several clients and is also a serial Founder himself.

Overarching goal is to shape the backbone of a successful company which typically involves working with Founders to:

  • Set top-down direction (North Star Metric, strategic growth levers)
  • Implement lightweight structure to prioritise, focus + empower teams
  • Establish a curious, user-obsessed culture
  • Chart a systematic path to finding PMF
  • Drive sustained growth through experimentation
  • Hire A+ players, coach early team members
  • Drive valuable adoption of AI tools across the org
  • Reclaim their own time for the highest impact work

 

Experience

May 2025 – Present |  Co-Founder | AI-enabled Product Studio that fast tracks the path to Product Market Fit

  • Mapped the most painful unmet user needs using LLMs to scrape Reddit, X and reviews
  • Developed the Ember Thermometer – an AI-driven 8-factor scoring system to prioritise the hottest opportunities
  • Shipped our first gen-AI product: helping people overcome an evergreen and agonising pain – how to write and deliver a killer best man’s speech. Prototyped with Figma Sites, Typeform, OpenAI + Stripe.
  • Currently exploring daily habit consumer apps with an AI-unlock, with a specific focus on chronic condition management (e.g. migraines, ADHD, eczema)

 

Feb 2022 – Present |  Founder | Product & Growth Consultancy 

Working with early stage start-ups to enterprise size clients in consultancy, interim and advisory capacities.  A few highlights include:

  • Well known music streaming brand: deep User Research project focused on distributed tracing infra and usage throughout a team of 1000+ BE engineers. Presented strategic recommendations to C-suite.
  • B2B Legal Technology Company: Strategic consultancy focused on generative and agentic AI strategy, currently exploring custom GPTs delivering B2B legal workflows.
  • Air navigation service provider: Deep User Research project (Google, Amazon, MOD, Heathrow etc) to prioritise User + Market Needs, and shape the Product Roadmap for the integration of commercial drones and unmanned aircraft into UK airspace.
  • Online care maintenance platform: Interim Head of Product for Fixter following their acquisition by Renault. 85% uplift in Conversion rate over 6 months.

 

March 2020 – Dec 2021 | Head of Product | Wellness & Supplements Brand

Played foundational role in the hiring, culture, standards, process, product and growth (£16k to £250k+ MRR)

Built the team, culture and process to drive a net 620% improvement in CR over 18 months and 74 experiments, with a 46% success rate.

  • Got obsessively under the skin of why people were staying, and why they were leaving, which allowed us to reach a healthy 58% 6 month retention rate, and keep blended monthly churn below 8%
  • Resigned and rebuilt the full e-comm, customer portal, CRM and blog experience, going headless (Gatsby, Contentful) to create the infrastructure that enabled maximum flexibility and agility for rapid experimentation
  • Pivotal in instilling a user-centric learning culture across every touchpoint that guided a majority of our strategic decision-making
  • Built a product team of A+ players across product, engineering, design and research, only hiring people who raise the average standard of the team (increasingly hard!)

 

Jan 2018 – Jan 2020 | Product Director |  high end holiday home rental platform

Joined this hyper growth start-up after Series A and then raised Series B a year later.  Was the sole product person for most of 2018

  • Drove 15% MoM growth throughout 2018, aided by a new process that successfully prioritised the apples and oranges of SEO, site speed, UX, pricing algorithms, landing page optimisation, lifecycle comms, customer referral, lead gen, internal host and guest sales tools and plenty more
  • Improved overall site CR by 28% with one experiment, which led to a full suite of related growth-driving initiatives
  • Rebuilt our host onboarding journey, which reduced operational overhead by 75% and decreased time from host signed to live on site by 78%
  • Rebuilt the checkout flow which increased performance of the product globally by 9.9%
  • Scaled the team to four squads, led localisation of the product from one country and one language to nine countries and seven languages

 

Jan 2014 – Dec 2016 | Co-Founder |  online marketplace for customers, hairdressers and salons

Started this venture after leaving full time permanent role.  We built a marketplace for customers to find hairdressers and salons nearby (London and Paris), book appointments, browse stylist profiles and portfolios.  Worked with some top salons such as John Frieda and Toni & Guy.

 

March 2010 – Dec 2013 | Strategic Lead for P & G brand  | global creative communications & advertising agency

Led campaign strategy for digital and integrated clients including Adidas, Durex, Sony Mobile, Barclaycard, Ballantine’s and Speedo
