A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Implementation Specialist or Technical Support Analyst with strong SQL, SQL Server and T-SQL skills to join their Professional Services team in either their Leeds or Peterborough Office.

Experience / Skills Required:

  • Minimum 3 years experience as Technical Implementation Specialist, SQL Specialist, Technical Support Analyst or similar
  • T-SQL – confidence creating, reading and enhancing large procedures and scripts
  • Familiar with SQL Server 2008 and above
  • Database administration tasks – Backup / Restore, Account permissions, Log shipping
  • Familiarity with Windows Server 2008 and above
  • Competent user of IIS – familiar with configuring websites, IP restrictions, error redirection
  • Basic Networking fundamentals and understanding the principles
  • Highly PC Literate / Familiar with core Microsoft Products (Word/Excel/IE)
  • Qualification in Querying Data with Transact-SQL
  • Qualification in Database Fundamentals (Desirable)
  • Administering Microsoft SQL Server databases (Desirable)

The Role:

As Technical Implementation Specialist or Technical Support Analyst your responsibilities include, but not be limited to the following:

  • The implementation and integration of new customers onto our products and services
  • Importing customer information onto the new system
  • Conducting data and server migrations, moving customers from their old system onto their new system
  • Reviewing data and information, ensuring accuracy
  • Executes implementation of system tests to ensure functionality, configuration, and data comply with specifications and standards
  • Ensuring customer is fully set up on the system and implementation is complete before handing customer over to the training consultant
  • Making recommendations on performance, scalability, reliability, and security
  • Ensure Communication is clear and concise to Project Managers, Consultants, Service Desk and Customers
  • Ensure Implementations are carried out within the specified timescales
  • Refine processes and documentation where necessary in line with new releases / new technologies and better ways of working
  • Ensure all customer data is secure, encrypted and transferred in line with IRIS security requirements
  • Develop new solutions for increased efficiency and security around any technical service offered

This role will provide technical expertise on the implementation of new customers to their products.
