Solutions Architect - Yorkshire

Suitable for: Solutions Architect, Software Architect or Technical Architect with experience of software architecture.  Ideally suited to someone who has come up through a software development / .Net Developer route

Location:  This role is hybrid working, both home and Wetherby office/ client site based as required

Salary:  to £75k + bonus

Our client is a software solutions business with strong track record of delivering software development, system integration, software security, software consultancy, technical due diligence and penetration testing solutions to clients UK wide.  They are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect with a software development background (ideally Microsoft / .Net stack) to work on a number of projects where the following experience is required.

Experience:

• Approx 3-5 years’ experience as Solutions Architect, Technical Architect, Software Architect or similar
• Experience with opensource platforms (primarily Linux-based) and .NET framework
• Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design and development, with the ability to architect or explain complex systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces, APIs and other methods
• Broad architecture skills, covering application, large infrastructure (cloud and on premise), data and integration.
• Experience with Architecture frameworks (ideally TOGAF)
• Effective project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work well with a cross-functional and geographically dispersed team and customer base
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, create technical definition around customer objectives in complex situations, develop solution strategies, motivate & mobilize resources, and deliver results
• Experience in creating new and reviewing existing documentation and reports in relation to architecture of platforms. Working closely with development and devops teams to resolve issues identified and implement best practices.
• Experience in producing High Level Design and Low-Level Design documents.
• Assure the delivery of change initiatives, ensuring alignment to business and technology strategy, principles and standards and conformance with architecture designs and reference models
• Ability to quickly analyse and communicate the implications of developing new functionality in terms of impact, risk and time and effort.
• Experience working in highly regulated sectors and ensuring that solutions adhere to relevant legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience in the full change lifecycle.
• Experience in supporting pre-sales business functions.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.

• Relevant Industry Certifications
• Ability to perform hands-on tasks
• Qualified to degree standard or equivalent and extensive experience within IT

The Solutions Architect will be responsible for:

• Translating business requirements into technical solutions by collaborating with stakeholders, both internally and externally
• Providing architectural artefacts and ensure solutions are aligned against best practices including enterprise architecture standards and industry trends
