Suitable for:  Senior Service Delivery Manager or Service Manager with approx 5-10 years service delivery / service management experience

Location:  Remote / office (Leeds)

Duration:  to end March

Rate:  £400 - £450 per day outside IR35

The Service Delivery Manager is an integral role providing end to end service management across internal and external customers.   You need to be a hands-on Service Manager but will be responsible for managing a team as well as liaison with several 3rd party suppliers.

The Service Delivery Manager role is involved in incident management, chasing down 3rd parties and other support groups for answers as well as pushing suppliers on problems and getting updates. As such you need to be able to be a strong liaison point with strong follow through to resolution.

Essential skills/experience:

  • Min 5 years as Service Manager, Service Delivery Manager or similar
  • Previous experience of working across the service management lifecycle
  • Practical experience of fast paced service delivery function with multiple stakeholders and ability to own a service
  • Experience of process implementation and improvement
  • Experience of operating in uncertain environments providing leadership and guidance
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
  • ITIL experience in practice


  • Experience of or exposure to agile project management, agile development, digital and cloud implementation and DevOps ways of working
  • ITIL Expert Certification (version 3)
  • Experience and/or accreditation of ITIL 4 / COBIT / SFIA / Six Sigma / Lean / IT4IT
  • Experience in undertaking ITIL Maturity Assessments (or other equivalent)
  • Project management experience and certification
