Suitable for: Digital Designer / Lead UX Designer with 3-5 years UX design experience

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire (may include travel, if/when project requires it)

Duration: Initially for 3months+

Salary: Day rates negotiable (outside IR35)

Our client is a successful digital transformation agency based in Leeds City Centre, who are looking for a Senior UX Designer / Lead UX Designer with 3-5 years’ + experience to assist on a high profile project.

This is a great contract opportunity if you are a keen learner with a passion for wanting to solve complicated problems to deliver the best experience for the end customer!

Experience/Attributes:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a UX Designer, Digital Designer or similar
  • Someone who has been hands-on creating relevant assets for the main UX activities, including formative research, design and evaluative research
  • Someone who is interested in not only creating concepts/wireframes but also appreciates the key role of formative research to truly help understand the needs of the customer that provide a clear design direction
  • Someone who has a passion for wanting to solve problems through Design
  • Confident to be able to translate requirements into UX outcomes
  • Creating wireframes with industry standard tools (ideally Axure)
  • Has had exposure to agile methodologies, but not essential
  • Open to travel to work onsite with relevant clients
  • Must be confident to be a sole UX representative in client meetings and on projects
  • Ability to present ideas & concepts clearly and succinctly, to stakeholders and project teams and drive best practice within the UX function

The Role:

As Senior UX Designer/ Lead UX Designer, the role will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Working with clients to create digital transformational solutions, within an Agile delivery methodology
  • Conducting research activities to help understand user behaviours & needs, and validate any client assumptions (represented through personas, user flows and user journeys)
  • Creating responsive wireframes & prototypes to represent the validated needs of the users
  • Conducting validation activities to help understand if the proposed solution meets the needs of the users
  • Leading other UX designers within the same project, where applicable
  • Helping to support other members of the Experience Design team
