Our client is a successful business based in the North of England specialising in PCB / printed circuit board engineering and pride themselves on their business values with over 50 years of experience in the electronics Industry. The company are looking to hire a Quality and Compliance Manager to support the business and report to the Managing / Technical Director.

Experience/Attributes/Skills Required:

  • Min of 2 years’ experience as Quality Manager / Compliance Manager / Risk & Compliance Manager / Head of Quality & Compliance or similar
  • Experience of working in the manufacturing sector
  • Proven track record of meeting relevant compliance targets
  • Proven team management/leadership skills providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness and a compliance culture within the organisation
  • Demonstrable evidence of business/commercial understanding
  • First aid qualification or willing to undertake
  • Proactive, dedicated, enthusiastic with a “can do” approach
  • Dedicated to driving business growth, and mitigating risk
  • Travel maybe required


  • A relevant qualification or certification in risk / quality management or electrical/electronic engineering would be advantageous but not essential

The Role:

The Quality & Compliance Manager is responsible for advising the company on any potential risks to the profitability or existence of the company. You will be identifying and assessing threats to the organisation and its employees, customers, reputation, assets and stakeholders.  Once identified you will proactively be putting plans in place to ensure things do not go wrong and helping the company make decisions on how to avoid, reduce or transfer risks. 

The areas you may be asked to assess as part of this role will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Enterprise risk
  • The business’s quality assurance accreditations
  • Corporate governance
  • Regulatory and operational risk
  • Information and security risk
  • Technology risk
  • Market risk
  • Product quality
  • Health & Safety
