Suitable for:  Contract QA Analyst, Software Tester, Test Lead with experience of Azure SQL and Cosmos DB

Location:  Homebased

Duration:  Approx 8 months       

Salary: To £450 pd

Our client is looking for a Contract QA Analyst to join their Data, Reporting and Analytics team.  The QA Analyst will work with the Agile teams to ensure the quality of software meets functional requirements and standards. 

Experience/Attributes:

  • Min 3-5 years’ experience as a QA Analyst, Software Tester, Test Lead or similar
  • Knowledge of or work experience within IT healthcare or social care
  • Hands-on experience of using Azure SQL and Cosmos DB process including writing SQL
  • Understanding the flow of data through an ETL process
  • Experience of developing test cases
  • Experience of diagnosing, reporting tracking and resolving software quality issues
  • Ability to plan a release test cycle
  • Experience using a professional Test Management system e.g. Quality Centre, Quality Manager, Jira
  • Experience of working with other Software Testers and QA Analysts in a software development environment
  • ISEB Foundation or ISTQB qualification

Desirable:

  • Exposure to healthcare or social care sector, specifically clinical software in an NHS hospital environment (e.g. inpatients, outpatients waiting lists, theatres, clinical applications etc)
  • Experience of working in an Agile Scrum team

Responsibilities

The QA Analyst will be responsible for the development and execution of test plans, performing tests, running test scripts, contributing to maintenance of test materials and completing reports on test outcomes.
