Our client, a leader in health and social care software and services has an opening for an experienced Product Specialist. The Product Specialist provides specialist knowledge to the agile development teams, helping them drive the successful delivery of the functionality that forms part of the product.

Experience/Attributes:

The Product Specialist should have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an appropriate role (ie Product Consultant, Product SME, Product Analyst or Product Specialist type role) in a clinical setting including:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years hands on experience of with clinical software used in an acute setting.
    To include one of the following:
  • Software release testing and configuration
  • Involved in training
  • Preparation of user documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Requirements capture

Desirable:

  • Clinical qualifications with professional experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Systems analysis and design experience
  • Comfortable talking about APIs and other technical concepts
  • Review and amendment of bid responses or customer requirements documentation
  • NHS and wider healthcare market awareness
  • ISTQB or ISEB Foundation in Software Testing

The Role:

  • Contribute towards product design, writing user stories and defining end-user workflows
  • Identify safety risks early in the development phase
  • Participate in end-to-end testing activities of features across modules
  • Provide expert support and guidance to internal teams, customers and end-users
  • Understand and manage configuration of software features for web and mobile applications
  • Create end-user documentation and training material
