Suitable for:       Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager with insurance domain experience (either working for insurance provider or insurance software company)

Location:             Wetherby (with some remote working)

Salary:                  £40k - £60k + equity share

Exciting opportunity to join a start-up business which has secured a strategic partnership with a high profile PLC.  They are developing a revolutionary web application with huge potential and have already secured investment interest.  This is a very unique opportunity for a Product Owner or Product Manager who enjoys a challenge and is looking for a career as well as a business opportunity.  It needs to be someone who is up for a challenge and can grow and scale with the company as it evolves.

This is an integral role to the business where you will be ultimately responsible for ensuring that the product is delivered in an efficient way to meet stakeholder requirements.   Going forward, the Product Owner or Product Manager will also be responsible for developing and maintaining the product roadmap. 

The office is situated in the idyllic village of Boston Spa with ample free parking options. 

Experience/Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Product Manager or similar
  • Strong user requirements gathering and production of functional specification documentation
  • User acceptance testing and generally providing QA for the software
  • Experience of insurance
  • Commercial software development background
  • Must be a team player looking for long term career prospects and can demonstrate working with both third party vendors.
  • Prepared to work in a structured but entrepreneurial environment where hard work is rewarded and progression swift.

Desirable:

  • Visio, Balsamiq or similar wireframe tools
  • SQL
  • STQB certified
  • Any experience in insurance quotation, maintenance / servicing plans software would be of interest

Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder engagement and management
  • Assist the Client in achieving their product roadmap
  • Producing functional specification documentation
  • Working collaboratively with the Developers to produce quality robust commercial software in keeping with client requirements
  • Further integration with 3rd party applications
  • Usability testing and quality assurance of software prior to release
  • To liaise with other IT vendors and developers (internal and externally)
