Position:              Product Owner

Suitable for:       Business Analyst with Agile experience

Location:              Home based and Leeds office (Hybrid)

Duration:             Permanent

Salary:                  Negotiable (DOE) + bonus + bens

Our client a leading digital transformation consultancy is looking to onboard an experienced Product Owner. The role requires the Product Owner to represent the customer to the development team. A key activity is to manage and make visible the product backlog, or the prioritized list of requirements for future product development.

Experience/Attributes:

The Product Owner must have;

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Product Owner/Lead Business Analyst/Product Manager or similar
  • Knowledge of the Product development lifecycle and Agile processes.
  • An Agile background with a pragmatic approach.
  • Prior experience in leading and running workshops.
  • Experience of product life cycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Confident in presenting thoughts and ideas.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative while being inclusive in a project environment.
  • Organisation skills and detail oriented

Desirable

  • Consultancy experience
  • Prior experience as Business Analyst
  • Technical\development background
  • Experience working with the NHS
  • Experience working with AI/machine learning systems

The Role:

The Product Owner will;

  • Understand and clearly document business problems, requirements, operation procedures, and workflows.
  • Create and maintain the product roadmap based on value delivery
  • Review the requirements with Solutions Architects to produce prioritised and detailed features that clearly define the product value and requirements for the business analysts and development teams.
  • Where appropriate, create prototypes and models to illustrate functionality.
  • Help define user stories and support day to day development queries.
  • Manage the product delivery, and cost plan, iterating improvements and continuous value delivery via market analysis and stakeholder engagement/feedback.
  • Attend/lead on sprint ceremonies, and regularly review products and solutions during development and at completion to ensure they meet the acceptance criteria and within the agreed timescales.
  • Liaise with Delivery Managers to sign-off items for delivery and review estimates against agreed plans.
  • Track all dependencies and influence various stakeholders to achieve product delivery and launch objectives.
  • Stay abreast of relevant markets, technologies and general trends.
  • Technical fluency; comfortable understanding and discussing technology concepts, experience evaluating trade-offs and new opportunities.
