Our client is a successful business based in the North of England specialising in high end electronics. Due to continued growth, the company are looking to hire an Electronics Test Technician / Test Technician / Electronics Test Engineer / Repair & Test Technician to support the businesses busy production team.

Experience / Key Skills:

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience Electronics Test Technician / Test Technician / Electronics Test Engineer / Repair & Test Technician or similar
  • Previous experience in an electronics technician position or similar
  • Experience with automated electronics production including manufacture and test
  • General knowledge of electronic components and failure modes
  • Excellent IT skills and aptitude
  • Proactive, dedicated with a positive attitude and a “can do” approach
  • Enjoys setting exemplary standards
  • High levels of concentration
  • A flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing demands to meet tight deadlines
  • Effective interpersonal skills

Desirable:

  • An ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is highly desirable
  • HNC qualified or equivalent would be desirable but is not essential

The Role:

As Electronics Test Technician / Test Technician / Electronics Test Engineer / Repair & Test Technician you will be reporting to the Production Manager. You will be expected to be pro-active and self-motivating in the following areas; 

  • Ensure manufactured electronic products meet specifications and quality standards   
  • Improve process efficiency through automation and Lean principles
  • Build, document and maintain automatic test fixtures 
  • Specify equipment, components and tools required for process improvements
  • Fault finding including failure analysis
  • Software programming of automated equipment.
