Bid Manager - Homebased

Location:  Home or office based around the Midlands

Salary: C£50k + car + bonus

Global building materials company require an experienced Bid Manager / Bid Writer / Submissions Manager / Technical Writer / Proposals Manager with good technical writing skills to take ownership of the end to end bid management process. 

This is a hands-on stand alone role with the potential to grown and shape the bid team.  Strong preference for individuals with experience of Adobe Creative Suite / Creative Cloud / Photoshop / InDesign, Illustrator etc which should be demonstrated in your CV.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience end to end bid writing / bid management in the role of Bid Manager / Bid Writer / Submissions Manager / Technical Writer / Proposals Manager
• Experience of using software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign as part of the Adobe Creative Suite / Creative Cloud
• Commercial awareness
• Good command of English language
• Presentation skills
• Proof reading skills
• Anyone with civil engineering / building materials or construction background would be of particular interest.
• Previous experience of managing a small team including career development, training, mentoring etc (ideally, not essential)

THE ROLE:

As Bid Manager / Bid Writer / Submissions Manager / Technical Writer / Proposals Manager, you will responsible for:

• Develop and implementation of bid strategy
• Review, amend and sign-off Supply Chain Questionnaires, PQQs and other commercial proposals
• Tendering and drafting proposals
• Analysing tender documents and researching clients to develop targeted and bespoke  proposals
• Responsible for the management and development of members of the Submissions team including development of individual training plans
• Maintenance and upkeep of bid library
• Collate all information ready for the final submission across the entire business
