Location:  Rugby, Warwickshire

Salary: C£50k

Global building materials company require an experienced Bid Manager / Bid Writer / Submissions Manager / Technical Writer / Proposals Manager with good technical writing skills to manage the proposals team in delivering all stages of Tender and Commercial proposals for major construction projects across the UK

You will be responsible for managing and developing the bid team of 3

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience end to end bid writing / bid management in the role of Bid Manager / Bid Writer / Submissions Manager / Technical Writer / Proposals Manager
  • Previous experience of managing a small team including career development, training, mentoring etc
  • Commercial awareness
  • Good command of English language
  • Presentation skills
  • Proof reading skills
  • Ideally (but not essential) experience of using software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Anyone with civil engineering / construction background would be of particular interest.

The Role:

As Bid Manager / Bid Writer / Submissions Manager / Technical Writer / Proposals Manager, you will responsible for:

  • Develop and implementation of bid strategy
  • Review, amend and sign-off Supply Chain Questionnaires, PQQs and other commercial proposals
  • Tendering and drafting proposals
  • Analysing tender documents and researching clients to develop targeted and bespoke  proposals
  • Responsible for the management and development of members of the Submissions team including development of individual training plans
  • Maintenance and upkeep of bid library
  • Collate all information ready for the final submission across the entire business
