Location:  Stratford Upon Avon / hybrid (at least 2 days in office) - Applicants to live within a 30 minute distance from Stratford Upon Avon

Duration: Permanent

Salary:  £23k - £30k - DOE

Our client is a successful software provider within the healthcare sector.   They are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger person to work within their Stratford Upon Avon offices.  Some flexibility with remote working is available with at least 2 days per week in the office

This Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger position  is key to ensuring the group supplier invoices are paid accurately and on time. The role’s purpose is to process all supplier invoices for the group, from setting up suppliers on their accounting system through to payment, ensuring invoices are paid to terms, in line with procedures and queries resolved.

Experience Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in an accounts payable / purchase ledger type role
  • Experience of making bank payments using on-line banking software
  • Experience of having performed general administration/reception duties
  • Experience of working in a busy Company working to tight deadlines
  • Microsoft experience (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, basic Excel)
  • Basic accounting knowledge (Reconciliations and journal entries)

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of MSGP
  • AAT certification

The Role:

  • Processing and paying supplier invoices to payment terms (6 Companies, including multicurrency)
  • Payment runs (Bi-monthly and ad hoc)
  • Updating, reconciling, and managing cash books (8 Bank accounts)
  • Setting up new suppliers and managing supplier list
  • Resolving internal and external invoice/payment queries
  • Maintaining a clean Accounts Payable ledger
  • Basic accounting
  • Supporting managing facilities/procurement for the Stratford Upon Avon office
